But if you were an accomplished brain surgeon or lawyer, you'd at least understand that in complex systems there are situations and behaviours that are counter-intuitive. The man on the street's common sense reasoning is not useful or accurate in these situations.

Your opinion is simply invalid because you don't have the training to analyse the data, and your cherry-picked exposure to the data doesn't give you a full view of what is going on. It would take years of training to get you up to date.

You are right when you say proper science embraces questioning - but you are so far away from the field that you don't even know what questions make sense to ask. There is a constant churn of questions in this field, but I'm here to tell you @zipperlip that your questions aren't even in the ballpark of the areas that real scientists are asking in their quest for knowledge.

You seem to be accusing the people with letters after their name of arrogance, but they have earned the right to have an opinion on these matters through years of training and study.

To my eyes, it is you who are showing arrogance by assuming that without training and so without understanding of the underlying physics or science, your opinion is valid or useful.

This cultural attack on experts is one of the more heinous things RWNJs have done in recent years - without expert opinion being respected, civilization is doomed to regress.

It always amazes me how good people, like yourself can read my comments about MMCC and the validity of the scientific process that the Bed Wetter’s cling too.

Most scientific endeavours adhere to honest an open parameters.

A Heart Surgeon may not have all the information they need to be sure of a successful procedure but the unknowns are very limited and they explain the risks of these unknowns to the patient.

Unlike the MMCC Spruiker’s with their projections based on the very limited data available.

Have you failed to notice that there are quite a number of highly qualified/educated scientists over the years, who have raised their heads above the parapet and called humbug on what, in their expert opinion, they consider to be a hijacking of good science?

I don’t mind if you want to think my uneducated opinions are meaningless but how do you justify calling Nobel winning scientists, uneducated?

97 scientists liking an idea out of 100 sounds like good odds, 2 out of the 3 remaining could be nut jobs but if the last one is correct, then they’re still correct and the 97 are still just lemmings keeping in sweet with the preferred narrative and regular paycheque.

Climate isn’t an exact science, predicting the future climate is fraught with danger.
Just look at how many predictions based on the modelling have come true so far, absolutely zero.
