I would have thought that what should be obvious is that power systems - should have lots of redundancy and a mix of generation types

Humans in our power dependent, connection dependant large population societies will soon be shown just how vulnerable we are - somewhere on the planet

we've been fairly lucky since we went all mod cons ------ all nicely developed with poles and wires everywhere and we're totally dependent on them

we wait - we wait for a large volcanic event that blacks out half a continent or more - see how we handle that kind of thing

We should all be aware that whilst solar and wind are wonderful things - they are 'weather dependent'

1. A UPS for backup & Sine Protection.

2. Solar Panels & Battery on an appropriate scale to offset running costs & administration.
