I agree that this is an unlikely outcome, yet if we have something they want and there is more than one bidder, then you will be amazed at what can happen. The exception is probably if we are dealing with a US company- in which case I agree it is usually their way or the highway.
A JV is still not out of the question though, and still my preferred outcome.
