"mindlessly measure dud rocks"? The point is if the hole was downhole surveyed, and orientation was marked during drilling, you would be able to orient the core at a later date and measure geological features of interest. The 'discovery' was supposedly made using AI... what faith can we have in an AI model if not even the dip of lithological contacts intersected within the drillhole are constrained, let alone the location of the drillhole trace? How do you plan a follow up drillhole to a 'discovery' if as you say the hole deviates up to 10 degrees through 600m (which is a distance of 104m)? The cross section might have a few less question marks if the hole was oriented.
Articles online state the drilling program cost circa $500,000, seems like you're trying to save money in the wrong places
