Yes, it came out of the blue, but HotCopper readers learnt quickly about what was going on.
I imagine that there are other investors who don't follow the stock, but have placed automatic low price stop-limit orders on their holdings.
That procedure would help to force a decline in share price - a downwards pressure that would have been largely removed during today's trading.
