    As you suggest, lack of proofreading may be to blame. Mistakes are relatively easy to make.

    Slightly on the Adelaide side of Geelong, there've been about 267 grain trains in the first four and a bit months compared to 191 in the same period in 2023. A few will have been bound for Appleton Dock in Melbourne that's not a GNC-controlled facility, and some others may be for competitors such as Cargills-AWB, but my guess is in excess of 80 per cent (perhaps up to 85-90pc) should be for GNC.

    Tonight, there's a broad gauge loaded grain train operated by Pacific National from GNC's Charlton silos to Geelong (currently sitting at Maryborough, Vic) while a standard gauge 'grainy' from Oaklands NSW has just run across Lake Mulwala and is slightly south of Yarrawonga, Vic also on its way to Geelong.

    The Maroona (just south of Ararat, Vic) - Portland line has also been busy, confirmed by the planned bulk ships GNC includes on its website's shipping 'stem'.
