IMO the USD is incredibly close to a big drop off which would set gold up to new highs. Today's US manufacturing activity release was VERY concerning, almost dropped to the scale of the Covid outbreak and mass lockdowns. Looks like we are on a direct path to recession territory in the US which is not good globally. Then you have all the chaos in the Middle East escalating and Iran firing ballistic missiles into several neighboring countries. Yemen proxy groups targeting shipping constantly too. The US corporate media going mad that Trump is a shoe-in for presidency come November. Plenty more major events to come in 2024. They do not want Trump to win. My money is on gold hitting $2500usd at some point in the next few months IMO.
