I think before anyone gets too excited about a discount to the Insto placement price, think about where things are going at the moment. We have several Instos now likely thoroughly pissed off with EVN management so confidence is low, a question as to whether the dilution from the retail placement has been fully priced into the current price yet (so may go lower and look at todays drop on a day with a rising gold price!) which means you may have been able to buy on-market at a better price shortly (free brokerage is a nothing), and more importantly we have had consistent prices >$3,050 AUD for some time and the SP has plummeted compared to its peers. EVN needs a clear way out of this funk - and as I've been saying for a while, time to clean house and get some fresh faces/ideas into the business - the COO going is a positive, but more to go IMHO before the market starts to change its view of EVN and confidence returns.
