I don’t follow charts and have never bought at the lowest low or sold at the highest high
i only base my investment on the narrative
for oil companies, it’s just a simple question of supply and demand
small / mid size companies respond better to oil price movement. But they can go up and down by double digits
but large caps pays better dividend, consistently
I regretted selling Woodside before at $33 - it would have been a better long term outperform if I held on and took the yield with an average cost price of $23~
but it is what it is and here I’m again
because Woodside do have the project pipeline in place to backfill depleted reserves and grow from here
worse case scenario it will do nothing for a few years until Scarborough is completed. But at least I’m getting paid 6% + 30% franking credits
Once Scarborough is online, those infrastructure cost will wind down and their net profit will significantly increase.
so long I’m paid to wait, I don’t care
