The Australian chair of HCH who has significant experience in the mining industry especially finance (Rick Rule has kind words about her), who is a geologist, presented a few years ago and commented that gold producers only start to be investable from 100,000 Oz pa production, ie difficult to finance operations under 100,000 Oz pa of production.
ALK is reaching that threshold in the near future and it will be interesting to see if ALK SP is re-rated.
