GOR has one great asset Gruyère ,they were smart to bring in Goldfields so it got built on time and pretty much in budget .Goldfields also operates it (they know what they are doing)..
Eventually I think the DEG mine will get built but GOR needs a cash flowing asset sooner.I think they thought it was a good asset to buy ,I just dont think they anticipated that DEG would go it alone and need to raise all this cash (I may be wrong of course).They may have thought DEG would be taken over or do a jv like they did with Goldfields .Obviously DEG management had another idea ,so no takeover and they are stuck with DEG who share price is down over the last 3 years and sucking up all their cash flow.History is filled with the Hubris of various managements attempting to build a mine and failing.
