I emailed CEO Leslie Chong with this question: Why do patients starting on our Allo CarT therapy need to have failed chemotherapy and autoCarT treatment before what we offer. Do you believe in the future patients will use our allo before any other treatment?
she responded: We are unable to treat before chemo which is approved for standard of care. It is considered unethical to skip lines of therapy.
If we are successful in later lines we could look at moving forward.
So it looks like we need to produce results that make current treatments obsolete. It will take time to categorically demonstrate our allo is cheaper, safer and successful in treating blood cancers. But if it all plays out how our senior management believe it will, then we might own that market.
