How many onshore oil prospects of that scale - recoverable P50 19MMstb, Mean 33 MMstb - available for farm-in in Australia at present? Not many I expect.
Same with Rafael gas prospect.
Plenty of other targets identified from the 3D by the looks of it.
Oil is much easier and quicker to develop and commercialise than gas.
Having got the enhanced 3D seismic looks to me that they have been working as fast as possible to progress this unexpected opportunity.
Already applied for relevant approvals - all up to the bureaucrats now.
The recent MST valuation for BRU - un-risked basis $1.28/share or risked of $0.35/share - did not include any value for Rafael Shallow oil prospect.
