If we see US$2600 with the gold price, then BC8 will be approaching A$2000 margins on 50-60k oz pa at Paulsens. Gold analysts are calling this number this year. We may find it gets delayed when the FED wakes up and figures out it cant aggressively drop rates as inflation is still high. The key is the margins are good at US$2000. The fact that BC8 has very-grade deposits becomes a major benefit in production.
I can only assume the Honk Kong based company would be chomping at the bit to get the funds here. I think that BC8 could find funding from various places now if they needed it. You don't just drop partners because the gold price rises. The Chinese could then drop us if the gold price drops. I would have thought the debt market would be improving by the week with the current gold price action. BC8 will be one of the very few gold miners coming online in Australia with these prices. dyor
