So @Sweetsound, to answer your questions:

Answer 1. Most probably not. Out of the 1,496 shareholders in AAU 146 hold 5000 shares or less. These holders aren't even in the TOP 1350. So I doubt that they would be privy to such info.
Answer 2. Just some close of business shenanigans. This represents less than 0.0183% of the market cap. Nothing to worry about.

Answer3: those that are trying to get set know their window of opportunity is running out, so these low qty / $value trades are simply trying to flush out the retail holders who have disclosed their hands by entering electronic stop loss orders.

also fyi - from the data that the Top 20 hold 54% of SOI as of yesetrday, and my observations that they've been loading up the last few months, I draw the conclusion that they're all getting set for a positive outcome that is upon the horizon. probably the most bullish is a former substantial AAU holder who is now no longer in the top 20 for AAU but is quite loaded up on AAUOC in two different portfolios, both in the Top 10 for AAUOC itself.
