Global steel production is 2 billion tonnes per annun. If hydrogen steelmaking is proved to be commercially viable i doubt whether commercial plants would be up and running by the end of the decade. To convert the majority of the industry over to a new steelmaking technology will take take many decades and where are they going to source the electricity required to do such a large conversion.
