Yes, that letter and the authorisation of it for release was not a good look. Raises any number of questions. How does the board maintain independent and objective oversight of management when it is releasing (we'll assume not soliciting) material from that management that assists the board to maintain the financial benefit they derive through their board positions?

Those of us who have to complete workplace ethics and fraud awareness training know that one would never fly. Doesn't even pass a pub test. If that had come across my desk, I would have thanked the executives for their support, directed them to face front and make their best efforts to progress the business, then let the proper process decide the outcome.

This is possibly the most concerning aspect of this matter for me.
