Broken Chair has provided the road status, I might offer some development thoughts.

I don't think the original road plan will go ahead. With WR1 likely taking Renard, currently majority owned by Quebec and a Canadian pension fund, and private capital also likely to co-fund it to some degree, it will be redirected along the lines of what WR1 is putting forwards.

However, mining is only one stakeholder, the Cree may have communities and resources they'd like to see connected too - hunting fishing forestry. WR1 wants a direct line from mine to plant. This will benefit LLI a lot, especially if they toll-process at Renard, which WR1 is already suggesting as their wider strategy.
