Thanks afternoon crew.
Another fizzer of a session heading into the public holiday. The ASX 200 ended the day eight points or 0.11% weaker at its lowest in about a week and a half. Wouldn't say there was genuine down-pressure at present. More like a lack of catalysts for moving in either direction ahead of a public holiday.
The miners were the biggest weight for a third session. Iron ore is still looking for a floor. REITs and tech were the pick of the sectors. Defensives prominent.
Wall Street will trade twice before we resume. S&P 500 futures were down 0.46% at the Australian close.
Until Wednesday. Lest we forget.
