    Most of these great libertarians want cash but, of course, without having to pay for the relative cost associated with it, that is, the extra cost in relation to the alternative. An extra cost that in this world of perfect competition between the banks and maximum laissez faire will end, so they argue, to be absorbed by these philanthropic institutions and not by the rest of us through fees or government subsides, or both.
