I agree with some of what your saying, to a degree!
However AW1 is a little different to almost all other mining explorers in that we have a very definitive window for exploration due to the project's location.
Taking that into account i, personally do not find it the least bit surprising that once the exploration news flow drops off at the end of a very clear exploration window that a considerable amount of profit taking takes place, i would suggest that would have been a given.
I personally did the same, leaving a core holding, and now i'm back having bought in at lower prices in anticipation of the imminent start to our exploration season.
