So did this young psychopath commit armed robbery? Last year he was charged with
stealing a car and three counts of armed robbery. He has lived here since he was a baby. He should know right from wrong. He has been allowed bail for. I repeat,
3 counts of armed robbery. When is enough, enough? It's time the community is protected, not the offender.
Last year, state parliament passed laws making breach of bail a crime for children, with a penalty of up to one year in detention. Why is this not being carried out? How many more innocent lives have to be lost?

Terry Goldsworthy, an academic from Bond University and former detective, believes young people should be prosecuted for offences like murder to the same extent as adults.“I think an offence like this, they should be held accountable as an adult would be,” he said.Dr Goldsworthy said a there was a “lack of public confidence” in Queensland’s youth justice system.“I don’t think it is working,” he said.Dr Goldsworthy pointed to data showing more than 50 per cent of youth offenders were released on bail, with seven per cent of those going on to commit offences resulting in serious injury or death.“We continue to have these people released into the community when clearly they’re not safe.”
It seems cries for protection from the community are falling on deaf ears. An interesting and thought-provoking article from ABC
