New POSCO SPG plant in Korea is likely to be ~40ktpa, targeting 1st production in 2026:
- At 40% yield, needs ~100ktpa of conc
- 30-35ktpa from Mahenge
- 60ktpa from Balama
It’s a pretty clear positive as it gives the market more confidence POSCO’s SPG plans are real…
Given POSCO’s huge growth plans, they will obviously expand their initial SPG capacity pretty rapidly.
It's going to take a lot of feedstock to feed Posco's ambitions!
