please be reminded that Prof Doan is a researcher and scientist, not a drug researcher nor developer. Researchers and scientists do get recognised for their scientific research and discoveries in animals and it doesn't have to be in human nor translates to human. Sometimes even better when they work for an institution like universities, research centres and hospitals, rather than a commercial entity because of the commercial interests
the following is an example of one of the Prime Minister's Prizes for Science 2023, Prize for Innovation to Prof Glenn King and it states, "Professor King was recognised for pioneering using peptides from Australian funnel-web spider venom for sustainable crop protection and potentially human therapeutics."
