@DaBull007 I don't know what you are complaining about. The article just talks about the Ehlers rocket science moving averages crossover system. It is supposed to result in fewer false signals. You get a signal when the Mesa Adaptive Moving Average (MAMA) crosses above the Fractional Adaptive Moving Average (FAMA) which is just a MAM with different alpha setting. MAMA is a technical trend-following indicator developed by John Ehlers which adapts to price movement “based on the rate change of phase as measured by the Hilbert Transform Discriminator”. LOL!!!!
I managed to find the Amibroker code for MAMA and FAMA via a Google search. During the current market doldrums I'll load the indicators into my chart software and see if they provide any value.
John Elhers is a signal processing engineer who now focusses his attention on the cyclic analysis of time series data. If you want to find out more about his stuff you can buy his books or attend his yearly weekend cycle analytics course in the US. You do have to sign a non-disclosure agreement re the contents of the course, and it only costs US$6,000.
