    Yes, the US played him like a violine. Germany had had it so good - buying very cheap gas from Russia, lots of that gas was then re-sold to other EU member states at much higher prices. Then came along Americans who saw that the German economy was steering towards deeper co-operation with China and Russia and decided to stop it. So the Americans blew up 3 out of 4 Nordstream pipelines which deprived German industry of its primary source of energy - gas. Then they built a new port specifically for American LNG for which they are now paying through the roof.

    Yeah, exactly. With people so incompetent in key portfolios in the German fed. gov. like foreign minister Annalena Baerbock, who comes from the Green party, one cannot expect much good, they are just not cut for the job, simple as that.

    And there is still more to come, imo. Wait until Trump is re-elected as the next US president. He will then probably distance the US from NATO and Europe will be forced to deal with Russia and Ukraine alone. How much damage is it all going to do to the German and other EU member states' economies?

    It is already pretty bad in Germany, Poland and other neighbouring states from what I hear.
