its clear that the modelling reported on by Flannery was wrong.
modelling is always an inaccurate means of viewing the future.
what we now have 15 years on is greatly increased rain, with increased severe flooding. this is due to the warm water currents that are coming further south than at anytime in meteorological history. this causes more water to evaporate from the oceans and so causes more rain. this is not merely local Aus weather but all over the planet.
this is closer to the estimates (not predictions of modelling) by the physics of global warming.
