    Musk says

"Tesla still plans to grow the Supercharger network, just at a slower pace for new locations and more focus on 100% uptime and expansion of existing locations"

How do you give confidence to new aspiring EV buyers who wants to do long distance to think of buying Tesla?

Why would $TSLA layoff their entire Supercharger Team? - Tesla's next chapter could require mass production and installation of wireless chargers for Robotaxi

In the summer of 2023, Tesla acquired Wiferion - a Germany-based wireless charging startup. - Tesla Diners could become a thing

Significantly different businesses model - Tesla Semi requirements Semi Megacharging is a much different approach to Supercharging where entire grids could require massive makeovers.

    - Slow Legacy Auto adoption of EVs

While Supercharging has opened up to non-Tesla EVs, the adoption rate is still low in the US. This is more of a balancing act than continuing a massive buildout of the Network because non-Tesla EV growth is minimal.

Bottom line, Elon's thinking first principles and on a new order of magnitude (Robotaxi), and this likely requires a much different approach than random Supercharger locations. Robotaxis will require similar Megacharging sites in and around large populations and along popular routes which will no doubt require capex on a different scale along with grid upgrades.

...Elon is moving towards Robotaxi. Tesla would be a different beast - not about producing many EVs (they're all in the yards gathering dust) - EV growth in US could be a different story, and a less relevant one for Tesla.

Unsold $TSLA s being stored in an old airfield in Germany. Not so infinite demand. So sad.... When GigaMexico?
