    The answer is maybe. Most of the patients in the Phase III Breast Cancer trial run in the late 1980s had very advanced cancers and quite a number of them were helped by bisantrene. The problem is all those patients were only treated with one drug (either Bisantrene, Doxorubicin or Mitoxantrone). Now days doctors use multiple drugs at once for cancer treatment and we don’t currently know what dose of bisantrene to use with these drugs. This is one of the questions we will be answering in our future trials.

    As I am sure you know once cancer has reached this stage (and especially if it has got into the brain) it is very hard to treat. If I was in this situation I would be looking at one of the immune therapy treatments and maybe signing up for a clinical trial of a drug that is in Phase II or better that you have some idea it will work.

    This is a really tough situation for everyone
