Gaddafi nationalised the oil industry in 1962. The French lost their control of Libyan oil. The democratically elected Iranain govt. nationalised the oil industry in 1953. The British lost their control of Iranian oil.Hence the CIA role to create havoc & ensure that the depot Shah took control of Iran. What followed years later was civil unrest & the return of the Ayatollah from Franch to lead Iran into a new are of Islamic rule.
