They were never seriously fighting inflation. That was just a con to tell the population that they want inflation down. Total BS. They actually spent over 10 years trying to get inflation going. And were unsuccessful. Inflation is their only hope to 'reduce' the massive debts. Don't believe a word that they tell you about inflation. It's their last and only tool to get rid of the debt. Except for actually zerroing it. Anyways, the zerro interest rates didn't do it. They actually needed Covid to get inflation going. That's why Covid is 'a little ' suspicious. In any case. In the old world there would already had been a world war to short circuit the end of the economic road. We might just be on the cusp of one as we speak. Gold has been massively and artificially suppressed. For obvious reasons. Massive unrests have already occurred around the Globe. Especially in Europe. But it might just about get much worse
