People these days would be absolutely outraged if you told them that China or Russia (or BRICS countries) had committed any number of the isolated "events" that the US, or the west on behalf of the US committed over the years. It was the US that did it; (cough cough, clears throat), long answer "justifying" the crimes then sweep it under the rug...
Western societies sadly are run by weak men, it will be an absolute miracle if we manage to avoid a catastrophe of the grandest scale. The saying "Fix the money, fix the world" rings true, I never really put much weight on that quote, but I've come to realise that it is 100% correct, and, that's why I'm a believer that gold will have an important role some time not to far in the future.
