Not any more they don't . Can't trust that claim as I'm sure their reserves have been steadily draining eastwards. No proper audit has been allowed for over 50 years and a grainy B/W photo from the early 70s is all that exists and that photo was far from convincing. The Fed keeps sending its minions around the world begging and grovelling like panhandlers to halt the move of PMs. But hey let's just raise the debt ceiling to a zillion and print till we run out of ink, that'll fix it.
