The US has the most gold reserves when it comes to "holding" other countries gold for their "safe keeping". Just ask the Germans how much gold they received when they publicly displayed they wanted their gold back in 2013. And really the German ruling elite has changed so much in that they were quite happy to see the US destroy the Nord Stream Pipeline which in turn is in the process of destroying the German economy along with forcing the Germans to buy far more expensive fossil fuels from the Americans. Now considering the deranged nature of the German ruling class it must be just a matter of time before the Germans return whatever amount of gold they actually managed to force from the Americans grasp back to the Americans. Maybe they already have and as for any other Country unfortunate enough to have the gold held by the Americans, then good luck with gettin it back. The US no doubt also has the largest gold holdings when it comes down to being rehypothecated.
