it’s all corrupt and fraudulent. Australian elections appear quite fake. There seems to be an unpopular ALP that gets back in all the time despite only having 30-33% of the people voting for them in compulsory elections. All the preferences mysteriously find their way back to the Labor candidate.
That cheating, swindling and scamming means that Australia can no longer be a democracy if it does not have free and fair voluntary elections.
If the LNP was a true center party, it would bring back first past the post and make voting voluntary not compulsory like in all other human democracies.
Forcing the people to vote for anybody but the LNP and every Independent, Green, One Nation, Lambie Network, Palmer United, Andrew Wilkie, TEAL voter giving their votes to the ALP before LNP appears to be following the Russian, Ukrainian, Iraqi, Iranian and South African/ Zimbabwean systems.
It is a misstatement to say Australia is an electoral democracy.
Australia is not a democracy. Americans might like to think it is but it isn’t.
