it's been a political ideology many times - the French gave it the boot - after being so tightly bound by the religion - I really don't know how they did it.
I think that Islam will die a natural death - because the modern era will overrun it
they are struggling to hold their people now to deeply religious and barbaric ways -
Islam wants to evolve - if allowed - people do stop wearing the religious garb, they do get educated, their women go to universities
they might stop short on eating piggy - but, in many places they either drink alcohol or certainly have put up with alcohol being around - one trip to Central Asia shows that communism shook Islamic practice
so, when 'authority' is really struggling to contain change ---------- it's like trying to hold a beachball under the water --------- it takes constant energy and constant surveillance, constant control --
and, that just wears thin after a while - might take a few centuries, a few years or whatever
but, now - we are in the era of the iphone - and they are all fully exposed to that - extremist controlling authorities have a full on job of controlling -
they will progressively be bred out
and the boot will come - just as it did for the Catholics in France
