Re: Batteries. Just bought a lithium battery for my MacBook Pro for $78 ex China including postage and my local Apple Store was $185 !
Its the same with Hybrid & Lithium EV /NMH batteries.
A Prius battery ex Toyota will put you back $10k while the Chinese "will fit" costs $2800
If you travel say 20,000 kms P/A then an ICE equivalent to a Corolla will cost you $3K P'A on petrol or half that on a Corolla Hybrid and no stress about running out of battery .
If say the battery lasts 10 years, then you have saved $15,000 + interest and at today's price, you can replace your battery for $2800 after 10 years !
