Mr market is in transition from exhaust polluting ICEs to zero exhaust pollution EVs with hybrids being the intermediate stage and wishful thinking wont change that, IMO.
The biggest issue for those buying ICEs now (particularly those with with over 150 kms CO2/Km ) is depreciation over the life of their vehicle.
While there is a emphasis on the price gap now between ICEs & EVs , that is only half the equation; the other half is likely depreciation,
