From what I've noticed, he likes to pick beaten down rubbish stocks that have a small chance of a big rerate. He likely buys a bunch of these rubbish stocks, the plan being that even if most drop to half or less but one goes 10x or more, he comes out in front. But what this means is if you just jump onboard one of his stocks, its a high risk its rubbish and not that one 10x he was shooting for. He is also doesn't show his full basket of rubbish stocks, so its a high risk play to just follow him blindly into any single stock he mentions.
Another recent example I remember was a coal stock (the name escapes me right now) which hit production and financial troubles. He entered after the share price collapsed, it later went bankrupt and delisted.
Personally, I think the best lesson to take from him is not individual stock picks, but rather, his approach of working with the cycle first.
