    I think i was eligible on my first house but that was over 20 years ago so am not sure....whats your point, that i shouldnt have accepted it and fallen even further behind?

    Everybody knows all the grants have done is increase house prices, has been numerous papers written about this

    You dont live in your shares, people dont need shares like they do houses, housing shouldn't have been made an asset to speculate on as its a need not a want, shares are a want.

    Look at a graph of when home prices really took off and look when the cgt was halved, quite uncanny huh
