I think with any new technology there are teething issues. With regard to charging stations there have been quite a few reports of chargers not working for weeks at a time, long queues to wait to charge, people parking to charge & then not coming back for hours etc etc. All of this is bad publicity & is seized upon by the anti EV brigade.
Personally for my situation EVs aren't feasible because I have nowhere to charge it where I live & the ranges aren't far enough yet for how I'd like to use a vehicle. A hybrid is therefore a better option.
