When you talk about using extensions, I’m assuming you’re talking about Fibs.
Im a huge fan of Fibs and find them extremely useful and an important tool. You’ve just got to remember though that the IMU SP has fallen through all major fib levels therefore I don’t spend much time on them here. But yes, on other stocks we use them a lot.
Now an ABC retracement pattern to me has already happened and we’re looking for the commencement of Wave3 (the biggest wave). Now every now and then W3Hunter posts here and IMO he’s the best I know in regards to Elliotts so I’m happy to take guidance from him on those. He also an awesome educator so it’s well worth paying attention to him.

However Flint, I’m hoping you have a solid understanding of the basics of TA because if you’ve missed a few steps then you’re not going to get the full benefits of Fibs or Elliotts. To me, you gotta master the basics before moving into more technical areas. The old “pouring a solid slab before building the house” theory.
