Thanks for the run down.
Parabolic SAR as a directional indicator has definitely caught my attention and in particular it potential application in risk management as a stop and trailing-stop marker. When I get a chance I will a run some offline data sets using both Parabolic SAR when paired with some alternate TA indicators in markets with different levels of traded volume and volatility. Wary of the dangers of not fully compensating for the effect of market-maker versus market-taker entry and exit points when using backwards looking data for forward looking purposes it should make for interesting review.
