C'mon let's get serious about this...

I can't see a port being established at Balla Balla for a 5-7mtpa operation, even possibly 10 Mtpa in today's environment...
I believe it was only potentially viable to establish a Port at that location for a minimum 45Mtpa as planned previously to achieve the economies of scale required to payback the $6billion+ it was expected to cost (~2017).

No smart operator is going to fund the enormous cost to develop a new Port for a relatively small amount to be shipped. Further, it would be unlikely to be able to transport via trucking a volume of more than a maximum 8-10 Mtpa.

Atlas Iron/ Hanroy pushed 8.9 Mtpa through Utah Point via trucking in 2023 and that was from a shorter distance. Utah Point has total annual capacity of 24Mtpa, so there is ample capacity for up to 10Mtpa from RHK if it had the fleet capacity.

Unless there was another player with at least 10-20 Mtpa to ship, and I'm not sure who that would be, it is just unlikely to happen. As mentioned previously, BBI are currently $95M in debt on this debacle and have already spent a couple hundred million... just can't see it happening.
