lazy from the analyst. It’s Dec 2025 when construction is due to be finalised. No new supply in 2025. I posted recently about everything in Guinea coming to a standstill for a week due to protests. It took a couple of weeks before mining ops came back online.
there’s just no way this is going to be finalised by then. You have many hundreds of kms of duplicated lines running through mountainous terrain, many hundreds of bridges, an 11km tunnel through the mountains (that alone will be very challenging from engineering perspective), wet season, new port to be built, access to labour, access to infrastructure/equipment to build all the infrastructure, possible political instability, disputes between govt and stakeholders, or stakeholders themselves, liquidity concerns….
if this is up and running by 2027, that would be a miracle!
