The interim divi payout was $1.08. "If" is just an unrealistic idea, intended to scare the horses. That's why you don't hold the share (but in a way you would, as a shorter, as you would need to buy back). I can also say "if" the interim dividend was a $1.40, makes just as much sense. Also, you are calculating yeild on one half only.
