Open your view to the bigger picture ie not just your own experience and not just either sexes experience and not just Australia's experience.
I have met the Polgar's and note Judith's strong performance as the best ever female player which put her in the top 10 world players for some time. We have decades of female chess players being ranked contrary to your views.
