In fact, a criminal trial was aborted and plans for a retrial were abandoned. There were genuine reasons for both but the holes in this case are such that only a spendthrift with a good sense of humour (with acknowledgment to Mr Bert Bryant, may he RIP) would contemplate a criminal trial.

I doubt there will be a criminal trial now after Lehrmann will be financially and reputationally destroyed now. Brittany I'm sure will be far more content with todays events. Lerhmann now has another rape chatge to deal with in Toowoomba, he's quite a busy fellow.
