unfortunately I disagree with sacking the security. they would be quite accustomed to MPs and suffer coming in at odd hours.

standing orders might have required a pair of drunken staffers looking like they couldn't work in an iron lung fgs to be more closely scrutinised.

but yeh I agree with the sentiment.
