From below, China has a burgeoning EV export industry to Europe to lose if European tariffs are imposed in July.
Evidently if tariffs are introduced, Euro manufacturers will be desperate for spod ex-China cf. recent visit from German foreign mInister. BYD and co sell to Europe at triple the price as China domestic prices, but load their models with extras the Europeans generally charge for. This is hefty margin for ChIna to lose if they don't cooperate.
